A team of three passionate AI enthusiasts from the Department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), RUET, has made a remarkable impression at the first-ever National AI-Art-A-Thon, held on April 16–17, 2025, in Dhaka. The team, named "NOVELTY", comprised talented undergraduate students Tomal Tahsin Ahmmed, Mashiyat Zahir Sudha, and M. M. Jubyer Ahmed Shezan, under the supervision of Md. Farukuzzaman Faruk, Assistant Professor, CSE, RUET. Organized by the Bangladesh Computer Council and ICT Division, the prestigious event was supported by leading global institutions, including the University of Cambridge, Microsoft, UNDP, the University of Toronto, and the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Dhaka. Out of over 1600 registered teams, only 20 teams from across the nation were selected to compete in the final round in Dhaka. Team NOVELTY from RUET secured a place in this elite group and received an Honorable Mention for their creative and impactful AI design. The CSE Department congratulates the team on their outstanding achievement and continues to support students in pursuing excellence in artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.
